VNU-HCM Institute of Development Policy Consults Binh Thuan Experts for Scientific Project "Research on Teachers' Lives in Binh Thuan, Tay Ninh and Hau Giang Provinces

Ho Chi Minh City, June 17, 2024 - Continuing its efforts to cooperate and develop local education, the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City - Institute of Development Policy(VNU-IDP) conducted a two-day working visit (June 13 and 14, 2024) to Binh Thuan province. The aim of the trip was to collect data and expert opinions for the scientific and technological project "Research on Teachers' Lives in Binh Thuan, Tay Ninh and Hau Giang Provinces".

The delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Phu Tran Tinh, Director of the VNU-IDP. Other institute members also participated. Over the two working days, the delegation visited and worked with the Binh Thuan Provincial Department of Education and Training, Ham Thuan Bac District Education and Training Office, as well as principals of local high schools, secondary schools, primary schools and kindergartens.

The working visit focused on main activities:

The institute attended a meeting with the Binh Thuan Provincial Department of Education and Training and the Ham Thuan Bac District Education and Training Office. They were welcomed by Mr. Nguyen Van Thach, Deputy Director of the provincial department. During the gathering, the institute exchanged views, discussed the situation of teachers, and collected useful information and data on specific mechanisms and policies for educators in the province.

In the meeting with principals of local high schools, secondary schools, primary schools and kindergartens, the institute received many contributions about policies for teachers as well as listened to the innermost thoughts, aspirations, motivations and difficulties of educators.

The VNU-HCM Institute of Development Policy sincerely thanks the enthusiastic and effective cooperation of the Binh Thuan Provincial Department of Education and Training, schools, and local education experts. The information and opinions collected are valuable resources for the institute to complete the scientific and technological project, contributing to improving teachers' quality of life in Binh Thuan province in particular and the whole country in general.
